Lauren graduated from University of Maryland with a degree in Computer Science. After college, she worked as a developer at America Online, then became an IT Consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton. During her time at Booz Allen, she worked at several bureaus within the Department of Treasury and gained experience in all areas of the software development lifecycle, including testing, requirements gathering, configuration management, and project management.

Lauren is passionate about software usability and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Human-Centered Computing. She believes the focus of successful software development should always be on creating the best user experience possible.

Lauren lives in the suburbs of Washington, DC with her husband and dog. She spends most of her free time knitting, weaving, and buying an abundance of yarn.
