Description

The Dräger Gas Detection App provides a general overview of gas and vapor measurement technology. The basic principle of the Dräger-Tube and Chip Measurement Systems (CMS) are described and a complete listing of the Dräger -Tubes and chips are provided with all relevant measurement parameters. In addition there is an introduction to portable monitors, including electrochemical, catalytic, and infrared sensor technology. There is a complete list of Dräger sensors and monitors for industrial applications. The App is a convenient source for all current information on Dräger portable gas detection products.

Accella’s Role in Development

Dräger was looking for an easy way to share the PDFs of their product catalog on an iPhone or iPad, after seeing what Accella was able to do for Drager Medical their safety division contacted us to help organize the documents and make them available through a native app.

Some of the biggest challenges facing our developers was the shear size of the documents, programming the ability to search by chemicals and manipulating the PDF images. As you can imagine, some of the PDF documents could be several MB in size, which desktop or web apps can easily handle, however when dealing with mobile devices, transmitting that data over a mobile connection can pose a large problem.
